Shabbos in Bnei Brak
Shabbos in Bnei Brak
May 14, 2015
This upcoming Shabbos, the yeshiva will be guided along the paths walked by the Gedolei Yisrael of the previous generation. In 1924, Bnei Brak was founded by visionaries who knew, loved, and dreamt about settling in Eretz Yisrael, for the sole purpose of faithfully serving Hashem through limud HaTorah and mitzvah observance. Ninety-one years later, this dream has become a stark reality, with the mere mention of the city lending itself to holy thought.

With the final program firming up and new and exciting events being added daily, the tentative schedule paints an exciting picture. Erev Shabbos meetings will begin at 23 Rashbam St. where Rav Chaim Kanievsky, shlit"a will offer his brachos to the yeshiva group. Immediately before candle lighting, the group will move on to 6 Chazon Ish St. where handshakes and private brachos will be sought from Rav Aharon Lieb Steinman, shlit"a. Following the night seudah, a private 'tish' will take place at the home of the Spinka Rebbe - Bnei Brak, Rav Yisroel Chaim Weiss, shlit"a.

The list of people and places goes on and on. One thing is for sure, Shabbos trips such as these are an integral prat of personal growth that a talmid can only experience in Eretz Yisrael. The encounters and experiences should prove to be a life-changer with all the sagacious brachos materializing in everyone's life.
